The tie rod is located at the end of the steering gear and steering knuckle. When the steering wheel is turned, this component creates a rotational movement toward the steering gearbox, which produces a push-and-pull motion.
This motion causes the front wheel to shift or turn in the direction determined by the driver.
Tie rods also help absorb vibrations when driving on uneven roads. This is possible because tie rods are equipped with a ball joint that enables multi-directional movement.
The long tie rod helps reduce vertical vibrations up and down, while the tie rod end helps minimize lateral movements left and right.
Tie rods also function to adjust the distance between the front wheels or wheelbase.
There are two types of adjustments, the first one is toe-in, which keeps the front wheels straight and stable. And the other one is toe-out, which helps prevent uneven tire wear.

Namun partikel yang kecil bisa bertahan di udara.
Penelitian pada virus SARS membuktikan bahwa virus bisa tetap hidup dalam cairan partikel liur selama 3 jam. Sedangkan virus bisa menyebar melalui partikel liur yang bertahan di udara selama beberapa jam. Hanya saja, bagi COVID-19, penyebaran virusnya bukan melalui udara tetapi sentuhan/droplets.
Virus juga bisa menempel pada kain, serta halus, serta rambut. Virus COVID-19 bisa bertahan pada permukaan tembaga selama 4 jam, kertas kardus selama 24 jam, dan stainless steel atau plastic selama 72 jam.
Langkah terbaik untuk membunuh kuman yang menempel pada permukaan benda adalah menggunakan cairan disinfektan berbasis allkohol, cairan alcohol sebesar 70%, dan zat pemutih.
Cairan disinfektan bisa disemprotkan pada gagang pintu, laptop, tombol lift, ponsel, atau benda lain yang sering disentuh. Sedangkan untuk pakaian dan benda bermaterial kain disarankan untuk dicuci rutin dengan sabun. Jika Anda menggunakan mesiun cuci, pastikan Anda tidak memasukan baju terlalu penuh sehingga tiap baju bisa terpapar sabun dengan benar.
